The 1936 Australian Women’s Weekly newspaper had the picture below of a sheer cape made of white tulle with margarite flowers. A pattern was offered for a fee, but of course, that was a 1936 issue! So, I reimagined it and modernized the cape to my liking by using sheer chiffon fabric with a handmade flower fastener and a border of handmade flowers with beaded centers. The French seam technique was used for sewing all seams for a couture appearance. Click on the images below for a larger view. Enjoy!
