“Windowpane” Vintage Knitted Blanket, 1977

Posted by

Here’s a really nice knitted blanket pattern from 1977 that uses all of your worsted weight scrap and leftover yarns used from other projects. The ‘windowpane’ blanket is composed of colorful little windows framed with black yarn and edged in a large scallop crochet pattern. Most of the scrap yarns used are Lion Brand Wool-Ease and Carron Simply Soft but use whatever worsted weight you have on hand.
The original book, 1977.   The book “Passages” lying on the afghan above is written by Gail Sheehy and published in 1974!

You will love it when you are finished…it brightens up your living quarters and satisfies that inner craving for creating yet another beautiful item without spending a dime on more yarn.
